The OATA sign means that all aquatic retailers displaying the OATA seal of approval exercise a very high standard of livestock husbandry. The aquaria and other displays will be clean and disease free. All fish acquired from an approved member will be healthy and feeding.

There will always be a member of staff available to offer sound advice on selection and future care of any species purchased.

You will also find staff able to offer reliable information on the choice and use of equipment. The shop personnel will be courteous and helpful at all times whether dealing with an expert or novice. In the event of a complaint by a member of the public, on which settlement cannot be agreed, the matter may be referred to the OATA conciliation service.
