RoSPA have again highlighted the
risks from drowning to small children in garden ponds and pools,
and indeed any open water.
Safadeck is a unique near-invisible safety layer comprising
resilient plastic grids, mounted onto rigid black aluminium
beams suspended at the water surface, protecting the pond
without inhibiting the aquatic habitat.
It will help hold the child on the surface until help arrives
if they were to fall into a pond. Designed to withstand the
impact of an average 8 year old child (40kgs), the Safadeck
conforms to available British Standards.
Described by the News of the World as the 'best new product
launched at this year's BBC Gardener's World Show', this product
appeals to all - parents and grandparents, schools, local
authorities, nurseries and child-minders.
The Gardening and Aquatic Industry has shown great interest
in the product, and OATA (Ornamental and Aquatic Trading Association),
have shown interest in the product, after campaigning for
many years for safer ponds and all open water features. Adam

for all.
